Pl. 03 · Sealed for the day

A website
you can wrap.

The kind of gift you can’t buy in a shop. We design a private website from your photos and seal it behind a code. We give you a printable card (PDF) with the URL and code. You print it, wrap it, give it. They unseal on the day.

The four steps

How a gifted website
arrives.

  1. I.

    You upload

Drop in a folder of photos — twelve is enough. Choose a style direction. We design the site privately to your account, no notifications to anyone.

  2. II.

    We seal it

When you’re ready, click 'Send as gift'. The site goes behind a one-time unseal code. We generate a printable card (PDF) and a PDF photobook of the published site.

  3. III.

    You print and wrap

Download the card PDF, print it on whatever paper feels right, write a note on the back, wrap it. Optionally print the photobook PDF at a local shop if you want a physical book to give too.

  4. IV.

    They unseal

On the day, they enter the code at the URL and the site appears. Both of you become full co-owners. The book follows in the post.

The right register

The kind of gift
that lasts the year.

Most gifts are exhausted in a week. A site is something the two of you keep adding to. Small editions for the small occasions, full editions for the big ones.

  • Anniversary

First, fifth, tenth. The most-given. A printable card to wrap, a private site to unseal.

  • Birthday

The relationship as a present, not a card. People cry, in a good way.

  • Valentine’s

An alternative to the dinner+flowers default. Quietly excellent.

  • Engagement

The story so far, set in type. Often arrives the morning of.

  • Just-because

A long Tuesday, a hard month, a year you survived. No occasion required.

  • From a parent

Some grown-up children make a site for their parents’ anniversary. We try not to cry on those.

What you get

The unwrap.

Three things, ready the moment you publish. Print the card, wrap the card, give the card. The site lives forever.

  • A printable card (PDF)

Beautifully typeset card with the site URL, a six-letter unseal code, and a line you wrote. Print it on whatever paper feels right — cotton, kraft, the back of a postcard. That's the wrap-able artefact.

  • A PDF photobook

A5 portrait, ~64 pages depending on the site. Cover, dedication, photo plates, the letter, the timeline. Open it on a tablet, or take it to a local print/photobook service if you want a physical book too.

  • The site itself

Live at youandme.cariadletters.com (you pick the prefix). Custom domain available. Both of you can edit forever.

The terms

One price,
wrapped.

The Forever edition is the gift edition. There is no monthly tier for gifts — wrapping a recurring subscription is the wrong register.

The questions

Gifting,
honestly answered.

How does giving a website as a gift work?
You buy the Forever edition ($129), upload your photos, and choose 'Send as a gift' at the end. We seal the site behind a one-time code and generate a printable card (PDF) with the URL and code on it. You print and wrap the card. The recipient enters the code on the day and the site appears.
Can I make it without my partner knowing?
Yes — the entire build flow is private to you. We don't email the recipient until you trigger the seal. Most people work on it over a few evenings the week before.
What if I don't have many photos to upload?
Twelve photos is plenty. The AI editor selects the strongest ones and writes around them. We've made beautiful sites from a single anniversary trip.
What's actually wrapped?
A small printable card with the URL and unseal code — you print it on whatever paper you like and wrap it. The site itself goes live the moment they enter the code. A PDF photobook of the published site is also included if you'd like to print one as a separate keepsake.
What occasions is this good for?
Anniversary (the most common), birthday, Valentine's, engagement, just-because, the year-after-the-year-of-the-thing. Anything where 'I bought you a thing' isn't the right register.
Can the recipient edit the gifted site?
Yes. Once unsealed, both of you become full owners. Many couples we've seen edit it together over the months that follow — adding the photo from the gift unwrap, the dinner that night.
Is anything physical mailed?
No — the gift is fully digital, which means there's nothing to wait for. You print the card yourself on whatever paper feels right. If you want a printed photobook to wrap as well, take the included PDF to any local print shop or photobook service.
Refund?
Fourteen days, full refund, no questions. If you change your mind before sealing, that's just a normal cancellation.
